Ana Catarina Pereira

Research Team

Ana Catarina Pereira has a degree in Geography and Regional Planning, Human Geography variant, and a postgraduate degree in Documentation Sciences, Library variant, from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. She is currently responsible for the technical treatment of the collections of the Library and Archive of the National Theater D. Maria II. She is developing activities at the National Theater D. Maria II.

Ana Celeste Glória

Research Fellow – Modern History

Ana Celeste Glória has a Ph.D. in Art History – Modern Age from NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities and is an integrated researcher at the Institute of Art History. Her areas of interest are the history of modern art, civil architecture, noble house and heritage. She received the Honorable Mention “Alert” awarded by SOS Azulejo, Museu da PJ and Museu do Azulejo (SOS Azulejo Awards 2014). Previously she was a Research Fellow in the R & D project “Art Treaties in Portugal / Art Treatises in Portugal”. She is developing activities at the NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Ana Margarida Alves

Research Team

Ana Margarida Alves has a degree in History and a master in Information and Documentation Sciences both from NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities. Post-graduation in Documentation and Information Sciences – archival aspect at Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. Since March 2012 she has been working at the Art Library of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. She is developing activities at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

Anabela Mourato

Research Team

Anabela Mourato has a degree in Anthropology from the NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities and a postgraduate degree in Documentation Sciences, with a variety of Librarianship, from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. She worked at the National Commission for Portuguese Discoveries, at the Historical Education Institute, General Secretariat of the Ministry of Education, School Park, Protective Association for Early Childhood and International Foot-Ball Club. She is developing activities at the National Theater D. Maria II.

Ângela Salgueiro

Senior Technician – Digital Humanities

Ângela Salgueiro holds a Ph.D. in Contemporary History from NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities and is an integrated researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History. Her areas of interest are History of Science, scientific laboratories and institutes, scientific and intellectual exchange, seas and oceans. In 2016 she received the Fundação Mário Soares Award – EDP. She was part of the R & D projects “History of the Instituto Camões” and “Dynamics of educational and scientific renewal in bachillerato classes (1900-1936): an Iberian perspective”. She is developing activities as a Digital Humanities specialist at the NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Bruno Almeida

Research Fellor – Linguística

Bruno Almeida holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics, with a specialization in Lexicology, Lexicography and Terminology, from the NOVA University of Lisbon in cooperation with the Grenoble Alpes University (Doctorat en Sciences de l’Information et de la Communication). He has a master’s in Information and Documentation Sciences from NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities. He is a researcher at the NOVA Linguistics Center (CLUNL). His areas of interest include multilingual terminology and ontologies in specialist fields, particularly in the field of Archeology. He is developing activities at the NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Carla Seixas

Research Team

Carla Seixas has a degree in History – Art History variant by NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities and a postgraduate degree in specialization in Documentary Sciences, in the option of Libraries by the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. She has been a librarian since 2001 at the FCG Art Library where she worked at the Núcleo de Autoridades. She was responsible for the Periodic Publications Center and has been, since 2017, at the Document Processing Team Coordinator. She is developing activities at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

Carlos Silveira

Research Fellow – Art History

Carlos Silveira holds a Ph.D in Art History from NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities and is an integrated researcher at the Institute of Art History at the same University. Previously, he worked as an inventor at the National Museum of Contemporary Art – Museu do Chiado, Portuguese Museum Institute, Portugal Telecom Foundation, Caixa Geral de Depósitos Foundation and Vila Franca de Xira Municipal Museum. Developing activities in the Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage.

Cátia Costa

Research Fellow

Cátia Costa has a master’s degree in Education and Multimedia Communication from the Escola Superior de Educação de Santarém and a postgraduate degree in Digital Marketing from ISLA de Santarém. She is interested in the areas of digital marketing, communication, advertising and distance learning. She is developing activities at FCCN – National Scientific Computing (NAU).

Claúdia Graça

Research Team

Cláudia Graça has a degree in video post-production, having joined the video editing team Entre-Vistas, which is an integral part of the exhibition “José Marques: Fotografo em Cena”, shown to the public at the National Theater D. Maria II. She developed activities as an image assistant, gaining organizational skills in the area of video and image / photography. She is developing activities at the National Theater D. Maria II.

Daniel Monteiro

Computer Technician – Systems Architect

Daniel Monteiro has a degree in Computer Engineering from the NOVA School of Science and Technology. He was a Scientific Research Fellow at the NOVA School of Science and Technology. He has worked on projects in the area of strategic planning and research management system. He is interested in architecture of information systems and programming in general. He is developing activities at the NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Fátima Duarte

Research Fellow – Information, Documentation and Archival Sciences

Fátima Duarte graduated in Taxation in 2012, at the Instituto Politécnico do Cávado e Ave de Barcelos. In 2017 under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Carlos Guardado da Silva and Mestre Luís Corujo, she gave master’s exams in Documentation and Information Sciences, with the presentation of a thesis entitled “Access to information in the Sporting Club de Portugal Members Department: 1906-1982”. She is developing activities in the Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage.

Filomena Chiaradia

Research Fellow- Artistic Studies

Filomena Chiaradia holds a Ph.D. in Performing Arts from UNIRIO. Researcher specialized in Theatrical Iconography and History of the Theater. She worked at the National Arts Foundation of Brazil, as coordinator of teams in the treatment of collections and in the creation of methodologies for organizing collections and / or private archives. She won the 2nd Critical Question Award 2012 Special Category with the books Iconografia Teatral and A Companhia do Teatro São José. She is developing activities at National Theater D. Maria II.

Gonçalo Silva

Research Fellow – Medieval History

Gonçalo Silva holds a Ph.D. student in History, specializing in Medieval History, from the NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities. Researcher at the Institute of Medieval Studies. For his work, he received the NOVA Merit Scholarship (2012) and the FCSH Award for Best Master in History (2013). In 2016, he conducted research at the Universities of Cantabria (Spain) and Leiden (Netherlands). His areas of interest are medieval history, maritime history, urban history and religious history, as well as the Digital Humanities and Science Communication. He currently participates in several national and international projects. He is developing activities at NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Henrique Raposo

Research Fellow

Henrique Raposo has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Évora, having belonged to the Computer Science section of the Students Association of the same university. Currently completing his masters degree in Integrated Master in Computer Science at the NOVA School of Science and Technology. Developing activities at the NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Joana Barbosa

Research Fellow

Joana Barbosa has a Bachelor Degree in Science and Computer Engineering from NOVA School of Science and Technology, NOVA University of Lisbon. Comprised the organizing committee of JORTEC Informática, an event held by the Students Association of NOVA School of Science and Technology. Currently completing her Integrated Master in Computer Science and Engineering in the same institution and developing activities at the NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Luís Coelho

Research Fellow

Luís Coelho has a degree in Computer Science obtained in the NOVA School of Science and Technology. He has worked on multiple projects in the areas of Software Engineering and Information Systems while studying at Warsaw University of Technology in Poland and is a member as well as part of the management team of the “Núcleo de Informática”, a sub-group of the FCT NOVA’s Students Association. Currently doing a master’s degree at the NOVA School of Science and Technology and developing activities at the NOVA School of Social and Human Sciences.

Luís Henriques

Senior Technician – Contemporary History

Luís Henriques holds a master degree in Contemporary History from NOVA FCSH. His main areas of interest are the political and social history of the long nineteenth century and the dissemination of academic knowledge. Currently developing activities at NOVA School of Social and Human Sciences.

Mafalda Aguiar

Research Team

Mafalda Aguiar has a postgraduate degree in Documentary Sciences, an archive variant. She worked at the Portuguese Archives Institute (Pre-Archiving Group), at SIC – Sociedade Independente de Comunicação (audiovisual archive). She is currently the coordinator of the Gulbenkian Archives. She is developing activities at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

Marco Freitas

Research Fellow – Musical Sciences

Marco Freitas is a Doctor Europaeus in Music Sciences, variant of Ethnomusicology at NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities and invited Assistant Professor in Ethnomusicology in the same school. He is interested in the history of Ethnomusicology, in the role of expressive culture in the construction of gender and sexuality identities, the theme of his master’s dissertation; and nationalism in sub-Saharan Africa, the theme on which he developed his doctoral dissertation. He is developing activities at the NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Maria Constança da Costa Rosa

Research Team

Maria Constança da Costa Rosa has a degree in History with a Specialization Course in Documentary Sciences. Specialist librarian at the Art Library with the coordination of the area of reading and collection management. She has presented and coordinated works in the area of collection management. Member of the Portuguese Association of Librarians, Archivists and Documentalists (APBAD), with training coordination functions (1988-2005). Trainer of Professional Technicians (BAD and INETE). Member of the IFLA Preservation and Conservation Committee. She is developing activities at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation./span>

Maria João Fonseca

Research Fellow – Landscape Architecture 

Maria João Fonseca has a Ph.D. in Architecture from Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon. Graduated in Landscape Architecture by the Instituto Superior de Agronomia at the University of Lisbon, and with a master’s degree in the same area by the University of Greenwich. She complimented the studies with the postgraduate course Cultures and Emerging Discourses: from criticism to artistic manifestations, from the NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the Advanced Photography Course at Ar.Co. From 2005, she started to develop landscape architecture projects in her own name and in co-authorship and, in 2008, she founded BOUND landscape architects. She taught at PARQ – Department of Architecture and Landscape at the Vasco da Gama University School and is currently a member of the DGArtes Evaluation Committee. She is developing activities in the Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage.

Maria João Santos

Research Team

Maria João Santos is a member of the Information Systems and Innovation Projects Management sector of the Art and Archives Library and has participated in digitization projects since 2000. The projects supported by the operational programs Information Society (POSI) and Sociedade do Knowledge (POSC) and by the Foundation for Science and Technology (DigiTile Library – tiles and ceramics). She holds a master degree in Information and Documentation Sciences from the NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities (2016). She is developing activities at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

Nuno Freire

Computer Technician – Data Manager

Nuno Freire holds a Ph.D. in Informatics and Computer Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon. His main areas of interest are data integration, information extraction, information retrieval, knowledge representation and the semantic web, mainly in its application in digital libraries. He is a regular member of international conference program committees in his research area. He is developing activities at the NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Paulo Leitão

Research Team 

Paulo Leitão has a degree in History from the Faculty of Letters of University of Lisbon, a postgraduate degree in Documentary Sciences from the same Faculty, a Master in Information Studies and Digital Libraries from Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon and a Ph.D. in Information Sciences from the University of Évora. Currently, he is responsible for the Information Services Sector of the Art Library and Archives of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. He is developing activities at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

 

Pedro Martins

Research Fellow – Contemporary History

Pedro Martins holds a Ph.D. in Contemporary History from the NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Lucerne (Switzerland). Researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History and member of the editorial board of the journal Práticas da História. Journal on Theory, Historiography and Uses of the Past. His interests include the history of historiography, uses of the past and tourism. He is developing activities at the Portuguese Cinematheque – Museum of Cinema.

 

Rafael Oliveira

Research Team

Rafael Oliveira has a degree in History from the NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities and a master’s degree in Information and Documentation Sciences, Archival variant, from the same Faculty. He worked at the Historical Archive of Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, at the Patriarchate of Lisbon, at the Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações. He is developing activities at the National Theater D. Maria II.

 

Ricardo Basílio

Science and Technology Management Scholarship – Digital Curation

Ricardo Basílio has a master’s degree in Documentation and Information Sciences from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. He worked on the Digitile project of the Art Library of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. He created the FCSH Memory website and the dissemination and training blog Guia da Preservação Digital por Siglas. He is interested in the technologies that support communication, information and knowledge. He is developing activities at Arquivo.pt.

 

Rita Cêpa

Research Fellow – Information and Documentation Sciences / Art History

Rita Cêpa has a degree (2012-2016) and a master’s degree (2016-2019) in Plastic Arts – Painting by the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. She has a postgraduate degree in Photography and New Media from IADE of Universidade Europeia (2018-2019). She was an intern at MAAT – Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (2017-2018). She is the founder of the online platform VENI VIDI (2017) on Contemporary Art projects. She is developing activities at Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

Sónia Patrício

Research Team

Sónia Patrício has a degree in European Studies from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon and a postgraduate degree in Management and Information Curation from NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities. She has been working at the Art Library of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, since October 2015. She is developing activities at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

Vanda Pereira

Research Fellow – History of Architecture and Urbanism

Vanda Pereira de Matos, architect, with a European Ph.D. from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon, has published articles in symposiums and international congresses, with peer review, on residential civil heritage within the scope of her academic career. As a freelancer, she has worked with senior architects. As part of her internships, she developed work experiences with some city councils. She is developing activities in the Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage.
