Congresso Internacional Turismo, História e Património: Compromissos com o futuro
On Jully 1, 2021 ROSSIO and Arquivo.pt participated in Congresso Internacional Turismo, História e Património: Compromissos com o futuro (1 to 3 July) with the communication presentation “MUVITUR & ARQUIVO.PT: uma ligação para fazer história” by Ricardo Basílio Maria José Aurindo (MUVITUR/ ESHTE). The communication aimed to present the partnership between Arquivo.pt and MUVITUR, which has as one of its outputs the creation of MUVITUR’s new ‘Web Pages’ collection. On Jully 3, 2021 ROSSIO participated in Congresso Internacional Turismo, História e Património: Compromissos com o futuro (1 to 3 July) with the communication presentation “Plataforma ROSSIO: potencialidades de uma ferramenta digital” by Luís Henriques, Marco Roque de Freitas e Gonçalo Melo da Silva. The communication aimed to highlight the usefulness and potential of the Infrastructure for tourism professionals who develop itineraries and visits to monuments and sites, allowing to further diversify the themes of guided tours. On June 30, 2021 ROSSIO participated in the International Conference on ICT enhanced Social Sciences and Humanities 2021 (28 to 30 June). The communication “ROSSIO Infrastructure: a digital research tool for Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities” was presented by Gonçalo Melo da Silva, Ana Celeste Glória, Ângela Salgueiro, Bruno Almeida, Daniel Monteiro, Marco Roque de Freitas e Nuno Freire. As part of this participation, the team was awarded for the best article and communication. The event took place by videoconference.

On June 17, 2021 ROSSIO participated in the EUDiA – European Union Diplomatic Archives Plenary Conference with the conference presentation “Open source platforms to link data and enhance research: approaches from the ROSSIO Infrastructure”, by professor Daniel Alves. 6º Fórum de Gestão de Dados de Investigação
On July 1, 2020, ROSSIO participated in the session Infraestruturas do Roteiro e a EOSC (Roadmap Infrastructures and EOSC) at the 6º Fórum de Gestão de Dados de Investigação (30 June to 1 July). The presentation of the ROSSIO infrastructure, its relationship with the EOSC, diagnosis, definition of the emerging challenges and conditions to ensure the involvement of communities were in charge of the ROSSIO’S Coordinator, Amélia Aguiar Andrade. On December 12, 2019 ROSSIO participated in the DESIR Winter School. Shaping new approaches to data management in arts and humanities round table (10 to 13 December), with the participation of Social Sciences and Humanities infrastructures. Joana Vieira Paulino was responsible for presenting the services to be provided by ROSSIO and its data management policy (according to the FAIR principles). The event took place at NOVA FCSH.

On September 23, 2019 ROSSIO participated in the II European Association for the Study of Theater and Performance Conference (23 to 25 September). Filomena Chiaradia presented the communication Performance de um espólio em tratamento: memória, história, esquecimento, about the João Marques estate: the photographer on the scene. The event took place at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon and at the National Theater D. Maria II.

On June 7, 2019 ROSSIO participated in the Web Archiving Conference 2019 (6 to 7 June). Ricardo Basílio, co-authored with Daniel Bicho, an engineer at Arquivo.pt, presented the communication “Librarians as web curators in universities”. The event took place in Zagreb.

On June 5, 2019, ROSSIO participated in the 4º Encontro das Bibliotecas de Ensino Superior (4 to 5 June). Joana Vieira Paulino and Daniel Alves presented the pecha kucha ROSSIO: Uma Infraestrutura digital para as Ciências Sociais, Artes e Humanidades and Ricardo Basílio the pecha kucha Workflow para a preservação de sítios Web institucionais. The latter was also a guest speaker at the digital preservation workshop, collections, digital libraries, visibility and heritage, having presented Preservação de sítios Web para a memória institucional e a investigação – o serviço Memorial. The event took place at Pólo das Ciências da Saúde of the University of Coimbra.
